U9 Rookie - time/place TBD - Tentatively, 6:15 to 7:45
We will have our U9 selects team again this year. Tryouts will begin in May/June. This team will play with live pitching and play other U9 selects teams.
- For players born in 2015 & 2016.
- We typically have 3 or 4 teams at this level.
- Each team is designated their own field for practice and home games.
- Rookie is a pitching machine league. Each player is given 5 pitches to try and hit the ball.
- Strikeouts and outs in the field are recorded. Teams rotate between hitting and fielding when either side records 3 outs or 5 runs are scored.
- The teams play games against the other Riverview teams along with Moncton and Salisbury
