9U (Rookie) - Fields TBD - Tentatively, 6:15 to 7:45
For players born in 2016 & 2017.
- We typically have 3 or 4 teams at this level.
- Each team is designated their own field for practice and home games.
- Rookie is a pitching machine league. Each player is given 5 pitches to try and hit the ball.
- Strikeouts and outs in the field are recorded. Teams rotate between hitting and fielding when either side records 3 outs or 5 runs are scored.
- The teams play games within our Association as well as with Moncton,Dieppe and Salisbury.
*We plan to have our U9 Rookie Development competitive team again this year, with tryouts to begin in May/June.
This team will play with live pitching and play other U9 selects teams in the region as well as the potential of tournaments in NB.
